"Relationship" has been renamed and renovated! Now called "Alloy & Arbor"

SEP 16th, 2024

Alloy & Arbor Mallet Duet

There are a lot of existing tunes with the word 'relationship' in the title, so we wanted to give this piece a more unique and specific meaning. Alloy and arbor both mean to come together, and these materials also produce the sound of the vibraphone and marimba.

There are many improvements to the readability and playability of the score too. For example, the vibraphone part has note names for notes with more than a couple ledger lines instead of using octave-up/down lines. We think this better shows the overall shape of the melody.

Also, we're trying what we believe to be an innovative approach to grand staff spacing for marimba. Instead of the treble and bass staff having varying spacing to accommodate the height of various objects in the score, the space is now kept at a constant, predictable 2 spaces, and the stem direction and objects are repositioned to accommodate this.

The piece has been polished up, sanded down, and we think you'll enjoy hearing all the new sheen and texture. Enjoy your free copy of the new score if you've purchased the old version!

Dusk to Dawn has been given many improvements!

AUG 7th, 2023

Dusk to Dawn Percussion Ensemble

While Escaping a Nightmare is our most popular percussion ensemble of all time at 174 copies sold, Dusk to Dawn comes in second place at 104. We wish it were #1 however because we feel the musicality is overall more mature. Perhaps with the many tweaks and a second glockenspiel part to amplify the melody during the chorus, you will wish it was #1 too!

As requested many times for over a decade now, the drumset part has a legend and the score and all parts have a much larger staff size and make better use of space. You'll just have to hear our excellently mixed (in our opinion) new demo and listen out for all the musical changes!

DEC 19th, 2022

Pachelbel

It has been requested dozens of times over the years and we've finally listened! We're proud to now offer what we believe to be the most authentic, most Baroque-sounding percussion arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D in the world.

It is so authentic that we've changed the key to Db! Why?

"Consumed by the Universe" gets cleaner, more professional notation!

JAN 11th, 2022

Consumed by the Universe Vibraphone Solo

"Consumed by the Universe", our flagship vibraphone solo has been downloaded over 500 times, which we are super happy about. But we have also recieved various complaints about the notation quality.

It has therefore been repaired and polished up for this year. The notation is now much more clean and professional. As always, previous buyers will get a free copy!"

New Marimba Solo Available! "Pavane for a Dead Princess"

JAN 1st, 2015

Pavane for a Dead Princess Marimba Solo

A brand new marimba solo arrangement is now available!

This marimba arrangement retains as much from the piano solo as possible while being compressed into a five minute solo. Chords with five or more notes needed to be intelligently converted to four notes or less to make them possible to perform on a marimba with four mallets. Many intervals especially on the left hand needed to be changed or omitted to make achieving some passages more feasible.

New Indoor Show Available! "Time for Polyrhythms"

JULY 19th, 2014

Time for Polyrhythms Indoor Show

Finally, after several months of repolishing, Eric's latest Indoor Show is publicly available!

It seems that the usefulness of polyrhythms has always been questioned. It’s as if musicians are waiting for a time period when polyrhythms will become acceptable to use other than only for special occasions. The goal for this show is to demonstrate that it is not only possible, but advantageous to have a nearly constant flow of polyrhythms from beginning to end.
