A good friend once told me how beautiful metallic percussion sounds when blended together just right.
This piece features a quintet of only metallic mallet percussion. The start and end are calm with a strong focus of rhythm in the middle. It's short in length and easy in difficulty, but audiences should be intrigued by the uniqueness and effectiveness of the sound.
This quintet is written for Chimes, two-octave Crotales, two Glockenspiels, and standard Vibraphone. Need a different arrangement? See here.
